Police officers from Police Station I in Jelenia Góra detained a 21-year-old man suspected of theft, attempted burglary and supplying drugs. In December last year, the man used staff members’ inattention at a discount grocery store in Jelenia Góra to steal a price-checking scanner and then fled. The device was worth approximately PLN 6,000. The 21-year-old tried to sell it, but nobody wanted to buy the scanner, so the thief threw it away.

What is more, the man was also wanted by police from Karpacz. Officers there suspected him of stealing wheels from two cars, attempting to break into a fuel tank and supplying drugs to an acquaintance. The young man from Jelenia Góra allegedly committed all these offenses on December 11 in one of the towns in Podkarpackie.

Officers do not rule out that the 21-year-old may have committed more offenses. He now faces up to 10 years in prison.
