The “Camera” Photographic Association and the Mayor of Bolesławiec invite you to take part in the photography competition “Bolesławiec’s New Face – Culture, Sport, Economy”

Bolesławiec is a charming city, with interesting people and unique events. It is also made up of scenes from everyday life. If you can capture them, we will show them to the world. The competition theme is focused on cultural, sporting and economic events organized within the city of Bolesławiec.

The winning entries will be published in the 2015 municipal calendar. The deadline for submitting entries is 18 December 2014.

Competition rules

  • The competition is organized by the “Camera” Photographic Association, under the patronage of Bolesławiec Mayor Piotr Roman
  • The competition is open to all
  • Participation in the competition is free of charge. The competition is open to adults and minors who provide the organizers with written consent to participate, signed by their parents or legal guardians
  • Each participant may submit entries taken within the city of Bolesławiec
  • Photographs should be sent electronically by midnight on 18 December 2014 to sf.camera14@gmail.com, including the participant’s first and last name, address, contact telephone number and email address in the message
  • Please send photographs in full resolution
  • All photographs submitted to the competition will be accepted exclusively in digital form. The jury will assess the artistic expression of the photographs and the idea behind the interpretation of the competition theme. In addition to artistic qualities, the jury will assess the technical quality of the photographs, the authors’ richness of imagination and their sensitivity to reality
  • The submitted entries will be assessed by a jury appointed by the competition organizers
  • The competition will be decided on 19 December 2014
  • The competition results will be published on the organizers’ websites and on the Bolesławiec City Hall website by 23 December 2014
  • The winning and commended entries will be published in the 2015 municipal calendar
  • The competition will award attractive main prizes: high-capacity external drives. Commendations will also be awarded. The winning entries will be published in the official Bolesławiec City Hall calendar
  • In the event of infringement of copyright, property rights or rights related to the protection of third parties’ image, the competition participant shall bear full criminal and financial responsibility for the act committed and undertakes to satisfy the claims of the injured party
  • Submitting an entry constitutes a declaration that the participant owns the copyright to the photograph presented and consents to the free-of-charge publication of the submitted photograph in the 2015 municipal calendar. The submitter declares that they have obtained permission to publish the photograph from the people appearing in it
