However, there will be a salaried (paid) position on the District Board. It will be taken by Stanisław Chwojnicki of the Democratic Left Alliance, who was the Bolesławiec deputy district head during the previous term.

Previously, the position of salaried member of the Bolesławiec District Board—until February this year—was held by Dariusz Kwaśniewski, the current district head. At the time, it was explained that when Kwaśniewski held the paid position of salaried member, the position was needed. Later it turned out to be unnecessary, and now it turns out once again that it is indispensable.

Thirteen councillors voted in favor of the candidacy of the head of the district structures of the Democratic Left Alliance; eight voted against.

In addition to Stanisław Chwojnicki, the Board will also include Marian Haniszewski (who is not a district councillor at all) and Dariusz Kwaśniewski. They will all receive a monthly salary. The other Board members, who will not receive remuneration, are:

  • Zbigniew Mitera (12 votes in favor, 9 against)
  • Kazimierz Gawron (12 in favor, 7 against, 2 abstentions)
