Agnieszka Chwojnicka-Zwierz emphasized her love for her Father in her final farewell.

“My dearest Daddy, Dad, Father…

Today I say goodbye to you and hug you very tightly for the last time. How difficult it is to speak of you in the past tense. You were, rather than, as until now, you are. It will be difficult for all of us to come to terms with and accept this situation. You know perfectly well that I was connected to you by an unbreakable magnet, and I was your little darling, whose bond has been irreparably broken.

You were an extraordinarily wise man. Every topic of discussion or conversation with you was a pure pleasure. You excelled in every field, whether it concerned history, Polish literature or the exact sciences. Being with you and listening to your teachings was something exceptional and worth cherishing for us.

Throughout my life—in childhood, adolescence and adulthood—you were a wonderful teacher, friend, support and authority to me. Your character, steadfastness and faith in other people made me a better person.

I would like to pass on the legacy I received from you through raising my daughters. You always cared about bringing up the children and maintaining good relationships in the family. You created a refuge for our family and opposed all evil. You were always very proud of it. I pay tribute to you. And your moral standards will always be a guide for me. You will always remain in our hearts.

I love you, Daddy. Rest in peace. Your daughter Agunia, because that is what you always called me.”
