Well-Known Military Officer and Politician Dies. We Know the Date and Place of the Funeral

The funeral ceremony will take place on Friday, February 7, at the cemetery in Bolesławiec. It begins at 12:00.

Stanisław Chwojnicki graduated from the Higher School of Rocket Forces Officers in Toruń and subsequently from the Military Academy. He had higher education in economics and military studies and was a reserve colonel. He was married, a father of two adult children and a grandfather of four.

He was a professional soldier for 37 years, including serving as commander of a rocket regiment in Bolesławiec

He had extensive experience in local government work, having served for 22 years on the Bolesławiec County Council, including 18 years as deputy county head and a member of the County Board.

At the end of October, he suffered a major stroke. He spent several days at the Bolesławiec county hospital, and later at a hospice.
