We return to the case. On Wednesday, November 26, we reported that at around 5:11 a.m. on Road No. 94 in Zebrzydowa (Nowogrodziec municipality), the driver of a passenger car lost control of the vehicle, left the road and hit a tree. We also wrote that it could be presumed that he had not suffered anything serious because, when firefighters from Nowogrodziec arrived at the scene, it turned out that the driver was already gone. He had fled the scene.

As it turned out, he had reasons for doing so. The 25-year-old from Zgorzelec County is suspected of stealing the car he crashed in Zebrzydowa. He allegedly stole the vehicle, worth PLN 15,000, in Germany.

The 25-year-old confessed to the crime. He had previously been convicted of this type of offense. He now faces up to 10 years in prison.
