The session was preceded by a Holy Mass at the Church of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Bogatynia, during which Dean Jan Żak wished the Bogatynia local government officials perseverance and the ability to make sound decisions.
The ceremonial session was inaugurated by senior councillor Eugeniusz Kubica. It began with the councillors of the 7th term and the mayor taking their oaths of office. The invited guests then spoke, followed by Mayor Andrzej Grzmielewicz, who wished the newly elected councillors success and fruitful cooperation.
One of the most important items on the agenda was the election of the chairperson and deputy chairpersons of the Municipal Council. As a result of a secret ballot, Dorota Bojakowska was elected chairperson of the 7th-term Municipal Council, Krzysztof Peremicki became the first deputy chairperson, and Jerzy Wiśniewski the second.
The next item on the agenda was the establishment of the Municipal Council’s standing committees, determining their areas of responsibility and, above all, their membership.
At the end, the Council chairperson thanked everyone for attending the session and invited them to the next extraordinary session of the Municipal Council, which was held... on the same day and concerned, among other things, changes to the 2014 budget.
