The incident occurred on November 14, at approximately 2:00 p.m., on national road No. 3. Officers from the Prevention Unit of the Police Station in Szklarska Poręba noticed a Volkswagen driving erratically. The Czech driver failed to stop for a traffic check. The officers gave chase and arrested the 59-year-old Czech in Polkowice.
It turned out that the man was drunk and had nearly 1.2‰ of alcohol in his system. What is more, the 59-year-old tried to give the officers a €100 bribe so that they would discontinue their official duties.
The driver was subject to a property bail of PLN 1,000 and an order prohibiting him from driving motor vehicles within the territory of the Republic of Poland.
