At the election convention of the Piotr Roman Electoral Committee and Hosts in Bolesławiec County, the mayor presented candidates from the election lists.

“Our slogan is ‘One city – one host.’ We want to link the city with the county,” said Piotr Roman. “There are too many people who only consider themselves hosts, but are not. To manage well, you need competent, creative and hardworking people. Such people are on our lists. We have a good vision for the county’s development. Professionals work in the hospitals, but both hospitals are poorly managed. We will free the county hospital from debt; it will be modern, just as this was achieved in Zgorzelec and Lubań. We will place all roads under a single authority. We will renovate those that have needed rebuilding for years. We will reduce the number of people on the County Board; the resulting savings can be allocated to employees’ salaries. I know that there are major disparities in this respect in the county. We will cover education from nursery school to the final secondary-school examination with one program, and schools will not be divided into municipal and county schools, which will also be more cost-effective. We know how to do it. It has succeeded in other cities; an example is Lubin and its mayor, our guest today, Robert Raczyński,” the mayor added.

Robert Raczyński confirmed that managing Lubin had become easier since the city was successfully merged with the county. “I wondered what it was that made both Piotr Roman and me think and govern in similar ways,” Raczyński said. He explained: “We prefer to talk and negotiate, but when necessary, we can also bang our fists on the table.”

During the presentation of the Hosts in Bolesławiec County Electoral Committee, the mayor asked the leader of the list Józef Król to speak. “We have experienced, predictable and honest people on our lists,” Król said. “You can vote for us, and it will be a vote well cast.”
