The 49-seat chamber hall allows Forum to screen a dozen or so titles each month. In addition to the typically commercial films shown in the large hall, the Bolesławiec cinema’s programme now includes more ambitious films for discerning viewers, which can be shown as premieres.

Over the past month, seven films were screened in the chamber hall, including six premieres: "Maya the Bee", "Jeziorak" (a Polish crime film awarded at festivals in Gdynia and Koszalin), the horror film "Annabelle", Xavier Dolan’s latest film "Mommy", the French comedy "Skirt Day", Magdalena Piekorz’s latest film "Close-ups", and, in a pre-premiere screening, "Gods", winner of the Golden Lions in Gdynia.

The chamber hall also hosted screenings as part of two film festivals organised with the youngest viewers in mind. The first was the "Kino dzieci" Film Festival, held simultaneously in 15 cities across Poland. The second festival was "Polskie Kino Młodego Widza".

The chamber hall programme in November

The new chamber hall, with an ambitious programme and no advertising or popcorn, is a place for film connoisseurs. The November programme will feature the following premieres: Jerzy Stuhr’s latest comedy "Citizen", the feature-length documentary film "Gottland" and the biggest French hit of the year "What Have I Done to Deserve This?".

On 20 November, the chamber hall will host Bolesławiec’s first screenings with audio description for blind people and subtitles for deaf people, organised jointly with the Katarynka Foundation. The detailed programme of Cinema Forum is available on the Forum cinema website.

The chamber hall at Forum cinema was created with funds from the Bolesławiec Municipal Commune, while its equipment was co-financed by the Polish Film Institute.
