The autumn workshops have become a permanent part of the Bolesławiec Cultural Center-International Ceramics Center’s events program and attract great popularity every year. The participants were given wonderful pumpkins, which changed their appearance during the activities. Small works of art were created from the popular vegetable.
Each participant gave their pumpkin a personal character. Some people used a previously prepared design on paper, while others immediately began drawing the eyes, nose and mouth. Then the children cut out the designed details and removed the pulp and seeds. In most cases, the guardians helped the youngest participants with the knife; in the remaining cases, the children managed excellently on their own. All that remained was to decorate the pumpkin according to their own ideas and take the finished work home. In addition to the pumpkin they had made themselves, each participant could also take home decorative pumpkins.
All the pumpkins for the workshop were received thanks to the kindness of Grażyna and Bogdan Mosiądz from the Specialist Agricultural Farm in Różyniec.
