The concert was divided into several parts. The first was dedicated to the music of W. A. Mozart. The orchestra performed the overture to the opera "The Marriage of Figaro", the Sinfonia Concertante for violin and viola, and Symphony No. 40 in G minor. In the second part of the concert, the audience heard the “Little Suite” from B. Martinů’s opera Comedy on the Bridge. The musicians then performed P. M. Dubois’ “Concertino for Four Saxophones and Orchestra”. The saxophone quartet received the greatest applause.
The concert concluded with a piece from A. Khachaturian’s ballet “Spartacus” and Norwegian Dances by E. Grieg. The orchestra was conducted by Miloš Krejči.
