The electoral commission rejected the candidacy of Bogusław Nowak, known as Papa Glinolud, for formal reasons. One of his support lists carried the name KWW Rada Miasta instead of KWW Wasza Rada. Nowak was two votes short of being able to run in the election.
The junior Bogusław Nowak remained on the KWW Wasza Rada list for the City Council. Voters will have to be careful, as the similarity of the first and last names may cause confusion. When choosing Bogdan Nowak on the list, voters must remember that they are voting for the little-known son of a restaurateur in Bolesławiec.
This is not Nowak’s first problem with a list. Four years ago, the Municipal Electoral Commission in Bolesławiec refused to register the list of candidates for the City Council submitted by KWW Bogusława Nowaka, who was running for mayor of the city at the time. After an appeal, the list was accepted. This time, the matter is final.
