On Thursday, October 2, three bomb alerts were reported. One concerned the lower secondary school in Bogatynia, while the other two concerned upper secondary schools in Zgorzelec (“Emilki” and the “górnik” school). All of them proved to be false.
Police officers established that the first report—which was made by telephone—was made by a 15-year-old student of that school in Bogatynia. The teenager did not explain why she had done it. She will now answer for her actions before the family court.
The two remaining reports were made by email. Efforts are underway to establish the identities of those responsible.
