The film “Photographer” by Waldemar Krzystek won one of the first awards at the 39th Gdynia Film Festival. The work by the Legnica native was named the best film by the Young Jury, comprising high school students who were winners of a nationwide competition for young film critics. The actress Elena Babenko, who also appeared in the film, achieved considerable success. She was recognized for the best supporting role.
The Golden Lions for best film were awarded to “Gods”. The jurors agreed that the Legnica native Tomasz Kot, portraying Professor Zbigniew Religa, delivered an outstanding performance. The audience greeted the verdict with an ovation.
