The crimes were committed on September 11 and 14. The perpetrators—two residents of Bogatynia, aged 25 and 27—first broke into a house in Bogatynia, from which they stole various power tools. The losses were estimated at approximately PLN 3,500.
Then, taking advantage of a shop assistant’s inattention at a store in Porajów (Bogatynia municipality), they stole cigarettes worth more than PLN 3,000.
The suspects were detained. Both had previously been in conflict with the law. They now face up to 10 years in prison.
