Following the widely publicized nationwide problems with the mathematics matura exam, students took the resit exams. “The final results announced are very good for us and confirm the high quality of education in the secondary schools of Powiat Bolesławiecki. In terms of the pass rate, we are ranked first in Lower Silesian Voivodeship! Behind us are… all the other 29 counties,” say officials from Powiat Bolesławiecki.
The matura exam results presented by OKE in Wrocław—after taking the resit session into account—show that 87.1% of the 613 candidates (that is, 534 people) obtained their school-leaving certificates. The result achieved by students of county schools is 6 percentage points higher than the average pass rate calculated for Lower Silesian Voivodeship, which stands at 81.1%.
What do analyses of the results show? General secondary schools recorded the highest pass rate: 92.6% of those taking the exam obtained their school-leaving certificates. In the ranking of general secondary schools in Lower Silesia, Powiat Bolesławiecki came fifth.
Once again, students at our technical schools performed excellently, achieving the top result in Lower Silesian Voivodeship. Of the 250 candidates, 82.4% (206 people) obtained their school-leaving certificates.
