Police officers detained a 24-year-old man suspected of damaging property and attempting burglary. According to the officers’ findings, the 24-year-old tried to break into one of the bakeries in Jelenia Góra. He smashed a window and wanted to steal bread. Employees scared him off.
That same night—without any reason—the man damaged the door of one of the buildings. He caused PLN 1,200 in losses.
The 24-year-old admitted to the charges. He could not explain why he had destroyed the door. He only said that he had been drunk at the time. He now faces up to 10 years in prison.
