On Monday, September 8, Bolesławiec police conducted an operation codenamed “Sober Morning,” aimed at improving safety on the roads of the city and county. Officers tested 150 drivers for sobriety. Seven of them were driving under the influence of alcohol.

Six lost their driving licences. The seventh detained driver—a 50-year-old resident of the Warta Bolesławiecka municipality—not only drove while intoxicated, but also did not have a driving licence, and his car was in very poor technical condition (the vehicle’s registration certificate was also seized).

All seven will answer for their actions before the court.
