The eleventh edition of the Football Tournament for the Cup of the Bolesławiec County Police Chief took place on 5 September at the Orlik pitch in Warta Bolesławiecka. The event was opened by the head of the Bolesławiec police, Insp. Henryk Stefanko, who wished all the players victory and good sporting competition.
Seven teams took part in the tournament: KPP Bolesławiec, KMP Legnica, KPP Polkowice, KPP Lubań, KPP Lubin, KPP Góra and KPP Zgorzelec.
The officers from Polkowice proved to be the best. The hosts’ team took second place, while the team from Zgorzelec finished third. Mirosław Kunz (Polkowice) was named the tournament’s best player, while the top scorers were: Andrzej Skrzypek (Bolesławiec) and Tomasz Szwajk (Polkowice). The officers from Góra received the fair play award.
The awards were presented by Insp. Henryk Stefanko and Bolesławiec Deputy Mayor Kornel Filipowicz. The tournament was organized in cooperation with the Warta Bolesławiecka Municipality, Bolesławiec City Hall and the Bolesławiec Municipality, as well as local businesses.
