The incident took place on Monday, September 1, in Lubin. The Scania driver, a 38-year-old resident of Bolesławiec, became so impatient that he began overtaking a line of vehicles. At the same time, he failed to exercise due caution, thereby forcing oncoming drivers to brake sharply and move onto the shoulder.

The drivers of the Golf and Fiat managed to get out of the way, but the minibus driver failed to brake in time. A collision occurred. Two witnesses to the incident blocked the Bolesławiec resident's path. All three waited together for the police to arrive.

Officers from the Lubin traffic police analysed the incident and concluded that the TIR driver had created a serious hazard in road traffic. They took away his driving licence. The case will be decided in court.

The minibus driver was fined.
