The tragedy occurred on Saturday, August 30, during a harvest festival in Tomisław (Osiecznica municipality). A scuffle broke out between several men, during which a man aged around 50 fell and hit his head on a concrete pavement. The injured man died in hospital.
The Bolesławiec District Prosecutor’s Office is conducting proceedings in the case. “The incident took place recently. We are currently carrying out activities and questioning witnesses; an autopsy will also be performed. Once these activities have been completed, we will decide whether charges can be brought against anyone or whether it was simply an unfortunate accident,” Regina Haniszewska said in an interview with “ii” , the district prosecutor.
