The accident occurred on Wednesday, August 27, on the road between Dobra (Bolesławiec municipality) and Kliczków (Osiecznica municipality). At around 6:00 p.m., a motorcyclist collided with a Mercedes bearing German registration plates.
The motorcyclist’s leg was severed. Passing Germans provided him with first aid. Volunteer firefighters then arrived, including Robert Dziubak from the Ruszów Volunteer Fire Department, who treated the severe wound. The injured man was transported to hospital by helicopter.
Witnesses to the incident told us that the man had tried to overtake several cars at once. The police are determining the cause of the accident.

The Yamaha motorcycle rider was an 18-year-old resident of Bolesławiec. According to the police’s preliminary findings, the collision occurred after the 18-year-old overtook on a double solid line. The Mercedes driver was sober.
According to the Kliczków in Lower Silesia fan page, witnesses to the incident were the first to help the injured man at the scene, followed by firefighters from the Osiecznica Volunteer Fire Department (Damian Tomiak and Dawid Stryczek) and a volunteer firefighter from the Ruszów Volunteer Fire Department. The leg reportedly could not be saved.
