Two residents of Legnica, aged 26 and 34, were arrested by officers from the Legnica Municipal Police Headquarters who specialize in combating economic crime. The men defrauded a PLN 10,000 loan online. First, the perpetrators tricked one person into opening a bank account and then used that account to take out a PLN 10,000 loan. In the same way, they also entered into a telecommunications services agreement and purchased a mobile phone.
One of the arrested men had previously been in conflict with the law. Both suspects were taken into police custody. They face up to eight years in prison.
