This year’s Harvest Festival will be held in Kraśnik Dolny. The village, known for its tradition of weaving harvest wreaths and for its long-standing successes in this field, has been preparing for this important day for several months. As befits the Village of Six Grains, during the festival visitors will be able to learn more about the grains grown in the village.
Traditionally, the municipal harvest festival will begin with a solemn harvest festival Mass at 1:00 p.m., followed by the harvest procession at 2:15 p.m. This year it will be particularly colorful. The event’s program also includes competitions and games for children, performances by local groups, and the announcement of the results of the competition for the most beautiful harvest decoration. We will also learn which village produced this year’s most beautiful harvest wreath.
Throughout the harvest festival, the newly built Community Center will host exhibitions devoted to the Bolesławiec municipality and the activities of Twórcza Stodoła, which is based in Kraśnik Dolny.
The evening’s star will be the disco polo legend Bayer Full. The group is known for such hits as “Majteczki w kropeczki,” “Żono moja” and “Wszyscy Polacy to jedna rodzina.” The band will perform at 7:00 p.m. Admission to the concert is free. After getting into the musical spirit, attendees will be able to continue having fun at a dance party lasting until morning.
The Bolesławiec Municipal Head Andrzej Dutkowski, the Municipal Culture and Sports Centre in Bolesławiec, based in Kruszyn, and the Organizing Committee of the village of Kraśnik Dolny invite everyone to the Municipal Harvest Festival.
