Harvest Festival in Raciborowice Górne – tradition and music stars
On August 29, the Warta Bolesławiecka Municipality Harvest Festival was held at the stadium in Raciborowice Górne. The Podgrodzianki and Niespodzianka groups, as well as the Miejska Orkiestra Dęta, performed on stage, creating a classic artistic setting for the festival. The evening belonged to the stars – the audience enjoyed concerts by Farba and Orfeusz, and the event ended with a disco under the stars at 10 p.m.
Ocice – a two-day festival full of surprises and a fantastic Oceana concert
The most extensive program was prepared by the rural Bolesławiec municipality, which organized a two-day harvest festival in Ocice on August 29–30. For the first time, a four-hectare corn maze was created, attracting entire families. Lawn mower races heightened the excitement, while a display of exotic animals provided an exotic atmosphere.
There were also competitions, an outdoor cinema, inflatables, art workshops and beekeeping activities, during which visitors could see a live demonstration hive with a queen bee. Attractive prizes, including an electric scooter, were raffled among participants. The musical star was Oceana, who thrilled the audience with the hits Cry Cry and Endless Summer.
Ławszowa – the strength of local traditions
On Sunday, August 30, the Osiecznica municipality held its harvest festival in Ławszowa. Local groups performed on stage: Bory, Nad Kwisą, Kapela Herbutów and Nasza Biesiada. The central event was the harvest wreath competition, won by Tomisław, showcasing traditional craftsmanship and attention to detail.
Czerna – humor, music and sports competition
The same day, the Nowogrodziec municipality celebrated in Czerna. The “Most Beautiful Traditional Harvest Wreath” competition was won by a wreath from Milików. The audience was drawn by performances from Marcin Daniec, Markus P, and the local groups Zagajnik – Wykroty and Gościszowianki. An arm-wrestling tournament featuring Rafał Fojtek was an additional attraction and generated enormous excitement.
Which harvest festival was the most attractive?
Each municipality opted for a different character for its event: Raciborowice focused on musical celebrations, Ławszowa on tradition, Czerna on humor and sport, and Ocice on spectacular family attractions. If attractiveness is measured by the number of new features and the diversity of the program, Ocice take the lead. However, for many residents, it is not the scale of the event but the local atmosphere and celebrating together that determine which harvest festival remains in their memories.
