Thursday’s concert lasted more than two hours. Among those performing on stage were the Big Band of the State Music School, students of the school and students of the Youth Cultural Centre. Residents of Bolesławiec heard many musical pieces, including Dumka, Cisza and the carols “Gdy się Chrystus rodzi”, “Przybieżeli do Betlejem” and “Witaj Jezu malucki”.
The concert also included a ceremony presenting medals for services in commemorating the traditions of the struggle and martyrdom of the Polish nation. The medals, awarded by the Office for War Veterans and Victims of Oppression, were received by Zbigniew Borysewicz, Commander of the Military Recruitment Office in Bolesławiec, as well as the Bolesławiec County Starosta and the Mayor of Bolesławiec.
