The incident occurred on August 19 in one of the villages in the Ścinawa municipality. At around 11 p.m., village residents heard a crash. It turned out that a 25-year-old resident of Złotoryja County lost control of his vehicle on a bend in the road and rammed the fence of a private property. Witnesses notified the police.
As it turned out, the driver responsible for the collision was drunk; he had more than 2 promille of alcohol in his system.
The 25-year-old was detained and taken to police custody. He now faces up to 2 years in prison.
