The ceremony took place in the Bolesławiec subzone of the Wałbrzych Special Economic Zone “Invest-Park”, where a production and warehouse hall with an area of 2,500 m², together with the necessary infrastructure, and an office building with an area of 250 m² are being constructed. All representatives involved in the investment process took part in it.

The investment is being developed with small and medium-sized businesses in mind—those wishing to start operating in the economic zone. The hall’s design will allow it to be divided for rental by several business entities.

It is worth recalling that everyone who decides to invest in a special economic zone can count on tax exemptions. The rules for tax exemptions are set out in the permit to conduct business activity in the area covered by the special economic zone, which the investor receives after deciding to invest in the zone.

Investors locating their projects in Bolesławiec can count on exemptions from local taxes, including property tax. Tax exemptions for businesses are regulated by two resolutions of the Bolesławiec City Council—on de minimis aid and regional aid. In the case of de minimis aid, a business can obtain a tax exemption after creating five new jobs.

The Bolesławiec subzone of the Wałbrzych Special Economic Zone covers nearly 72 hectares. So far, seven investors have established operations in the zone and received 10 permits to conduct business activity in the special economic zone; three investors have decided to reinvest in Bolesławiec. Companies operating in Bolesławiec include: Hoerbiger Automotive Poland, Lesław Sacher Obróbka Skrawaniem Metalu, SRG Global (Guardian group), Elektros and Kegger. The declared investment expenditure amounts to PLN 220 million, with declared employment of 576 people.

Moreover, recently Vilsait and Turningtec Polska obtained permits to conduct business activity. Vilsait plans to establish a logistics centre in Bolesławiec, with investment expenditure of PLN 1,965,000. Vilsai plans to begin the investment in Bolesławiec this year.

Turningtec Polska will provide metal-processing services for the automotive industry and metal-coating services. Its planned investment expenditure amounts to at least PLN 10 million. The investment is scheduled to begin this year. “Talks are being held with new potential investors,” says Piotr Roman, Mayor of Bolesławiec.

Meanwhile, the construction of a production and warehouse hall in the zone will make it easier for businesses to get started when building their own production hall would be too much of a financial burden.
