All five detentions took place on August 18. Among the five foreigners who had violated the regulations in force in Poland was a 44-year-old Vietnamese national, whom Border Guard officers from Zgorzelec identified during a minibus inspection.
The woman did not have a passport; she showed the officers only a document confirming her right of residence in the Czech Republic. As she explained to the officers, she wanted to go shopping in Zgorzelec. She was fined PLN 100.
