In May, an unknown perpetrator stole fruit trees from an allotment garden area on two occasions. The losses were estimated at more than PLN 1,800. The perpetrator was arrested and turned out to be a 41-year-old man with no permanent place of residence. He now faces up to five years in prison.

The second suspect was caught immediately after committing the crime. One of the allotment holders notified Lubin police officers that someone had stolen his water meters. Thanks to the description, the officers quickly arrested the perpetrator—a 37-year-old resident of Lubin, who had nearly one per mille of alcohol in his system at the time of his arrest.

What is more, officers established that the 37-year-old had stolen six water meters, valves and brass door handles. He could face up to 10 years in prison.
