The incident occurred at around 2:30 p.m. in Łaziska near Bolesławiec. The driver of a Reanult Kangoo veered off the road, broke through a fence and crashed into the wall of a building. The young man was traveling alone. He was injured and had a head wound. He got out of the car under his own power. An ambulance took him to hospital for examinations.
Two versions of events are circulating among the people at the scene. Residents say that the young man was driving too fast and lost control of the vehicle. The man's family, in turn, claims that someone cut the driver off and that he had to swerve to the side to avoid it. The police are checking both versions. Residents of Łaziska complain that drivers routinely exceed the speed limit on this road and that it will eventually lead to a tragedy.
The road between Kruszyn and Łaziska is narrow. There have already been collisions there several times.
