After 10:00 a.m., the truck driver—a 38-year-old resident of the Masovian Voivodeship—failed to exercise due caution while overtaking a moped carrying two people: a 55-year-old man and a 54-year-old woman (both from Bolesławiec County). The truck struck the scooter, causing the two people riding it to fall. Both were injured and taken to the hospital in Bolesławiec. The driver has a broken thumb.
