The incident took place at the end of May near the bridge in Kliczków (Osiecznica commune). The driver of a passenger car lost control of the vehicle and ended up in a ditch.
On 30 May, police received a report about the incident. The vehicle was locked and the driver had disappeared. It was checked that the car had not been stolen. Its owner lives near Wrocław. Whether he was driving the car is unknown.
Meanwhile, the wrecked car has been a disturbing sight for about a week. Everything that could be removed was stolen from it. As Damian Tomiak, a councillor on the Osiecznica Commune Council and administrator of the Kliczków in Lower Silesia fan page, wrote: “Several days after the incident, someone notified the fire service that the car had fallen down the slope and was lying on its roof. Three fire service units were sent out—but why? The firefighters secured the scene with warning tape and left. They did what they could do.
During the night of 4–5 June, the car was consumed by fire. Firefighters were called again. “Once again, fire engines were dispatched to a burning car. It turned out to be the same car that had been lying there for a week, with no one intending to clear it away. Who is supposed to do it? The owner? Or perhaps the State Forest District, which owns the land? Who will be held responsible for the fact that the fire service was dispatched to the same place once again?” the councillor asks.
We will return to this matter.
