The ceremony took place on Friday at noon. As is traditional, the soldiers’ families and friends came to attend the military oath-taking ceremony. City and county authorities were also present, as well as the command of the Bolesławiec unit and guests from other military units.
As many as 166 soldiers took the oath. Most of them will leave the Bolesławiec unit and continue their service in Poznań, Legnica, Wędrzyn and Głogów, among other places. Fifty-six soldiers performing basic military service will remain in Bolesławiec.
The unit’s command recognized four soldiers for their good service. They were privates Emil Piszczek, Łukasz Nowak, Piotr Lisewski and Jacek Ryma. Following the oath-taking ceremony, there was a parade drill demonstration and a procession of vehicles used by the 23rd Silesian Artillery Brigade.
