At the beginning of December, the modernized central heating plant of the Zakład Energetyki Cieplnej in Bolesławiec was commissioned. The modernization cost PLN 5 million 731 thousand. Converting three boilers and the hydraulic system will reduce the consumption of coal fines and electricity. The boilers in the Bolesławiec ZEC have their own names: Pankracy, Serwacy and Bonifacy.

As ZEC president Wiesław Ogrodnik says, the investment will contribute to stabilizing heating prices in our city. The modernization will also reduce emissions of gases and dust into the atmosphere and improve working conditions.

The heating plant is automated. A visualization of the production process has been implemented. The investment is financed by the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management (a loan representing 78% of the expenditure) and ZEC's own funds.
