President of the Zakład Energetyki Cieplnej, Wiesław Ogrodnik, did not receive a vote of approval from the company’s owner, the Municipal Gmina. Mayor Piotr Roman did not approve the report. At the same time, he did not give the reasons for this decision.

Unofficially, it is being said that this is punishment for dismissing Robert Tomczyk, who was president of the Orka swimming pool. As is known, in January the Municipal Gmina sold all its shares in Orka to the Zakład Energetyki Cieplnej, and on 4 April the supervisory board dismissed president Robert Tomczyk. The new head of the swimming pool for several weeks was Wiesław Ogrodnik, president of ZEC, and later Józef Chmielowski, an employee of ZEC.

We asked President Ogrodnik directly whether the mayor’s decision was revenge for Tomczyk’s dismissal. “As for revenge, I will not comment for now. For now. It is possible that nothing will change and I will still be president,” says Wiesław Ogrodnik.

The mayor’s spokesperson is not commenting on the reasons for withholding the vote of approval for now. She promises to provide more information on Wednesday.

As we have learned, the ZEC Supervisory Board requested not only that Ogrodnik be granted a vote of approval, but also that he be awarded a bonus. The mayor rejected both requests.

The new Supervisory Board will meet immediately after the May holiday weekend and decide whether the ZEC president will remain in office despite not receiving a vote of approval or whether he will be dismissed.
