A 48-year-old resident of Bolesławiec County, suspected of possessing a large quantity of cigarettes and tobacco without Polish excise-duty markings, fell into the hands of police officers. He was detained during a routine traffic check in the centre of Bolesławiec. In the 48-year-old’s car, officers found 35,000 illegal cigarettes (several dozen cartons and nearly 130 packs of 200 cigarettes each).
Officers are currently clarifying all the circumstances of the case. The detained man faces up to three years in prison.
