Bolesławiec police conducted the “Seat Belts” operation on Thursday, 13 March. Officers paid particular attention to whether drivers and passengers had their seat belts fastened. The results are not encouraging. Police officers inspected 126 cars. As many as 99 people were travelling without their seat belts fastened.

Police remind the public that seat belts are the most effective way to ensure safety while driving. Half of the people killed in road accidents could be alive if they had been wearing seat belts at the moment of the collision.
