Officers from Kruszyn arrested four men suspected of committing a total of 12 burglaries in the Gromadka municipality. The police identified the burglars while investigating a break-in at a kindergarten in the municipality. At that time, a 19-year-old was arrested. The man confessed.
The officers then also arrested his 23-year-old accomplice, who, as it turned out, had committed considerably more offences. Together with two friends, he broke into apartments, outbuildings and warehouses 11 times. The trio stole, among other things, gas cylinders, cookers, stoves, tools, electronic equipment and fuel. The victims estimated their losses at nearly PLN 25,000.
Three of the suspects now face up to 10 years in prison. One of those arrested, who was underage when the offences were committed, will face a family court.
