Michał Bajor performed for the Bolesławiec audience in 2010, presenting his interpretations of songs by Marek Grechuta and Jonasz Kofta. In 2011, he came with his acclaimed concert of songs by French composers. He enchanted the Bolesławiec audience with his interpretation of “Nathalie” as well as songs by Piaf, Aznavour and Garou.

This year, Bajor presented a very personal concert consisting of songs written by Wojciech Młynarski and composed, among others, by Włodzimierz Korcz and Włodzimierz Nahorny.

In the songs with lyrics by Młynarski, the actor and singer summed up his artistic and life journeys. On the musical map, he marked Opole in the song “My Little Homeland”, Warsaw, where he made his theatrical debut, in “Warsaw at the Time of My Debut”, and then Manhattan, Paris, Argentina, Spain and San Remo.

As always, the artist shared anecdotes from his life with the audience. He talked about the number “thirteen”, which is lucky for him—he was born on 13 June—and described his adventures as a student in Paris with distance and humor. In the metropolis, he wanted to earn some extra money for the holidays, but he did not accept any of the jobs offered to him because he either did not know the languages or could not do heavy lifting. Finally, when he was almost hired, it turned out that he had not obtained the work permit required in France.

The ever-elegant artist—apart from his American period and fascination with “ripped” jeans—also talked about his former fondness for shopping in London and buying gifts for family and friends during his travels. In Florida, Bajor bought 50 combs and 50 mother-of-pearl mirrors, prompting the saleswoman to ask him where and when he was opening his new hair salon.

Two songs from the new repertoire won the audience’s particular affection: the joyful and colorful song “All the Colors of Argentina” and the lightly ironic composition “How to Win in San Remo?”.

Bajor also presented two of his older songs. One particularly significant to him was “Warm Me”, which he “borrowed” from Krystyna Janda. The actor began his serious singing career with this song. For his encore, Michał Bajor recalled another beautiful song from his repertoire, “My Greatest Love”.
