The decision to dismantle the fountain on Asnyka Street was made some time ago. The facility had been out of service for over 20 years. As Agnieszka Gergont, spokesperson for Bolesławiec City Hall, informed us, the city authorities are not planning to install a new fountain; the site is to be developed in the future. What will be built there is not known for now.
Recently, the city authorities repaired two municipal fountains: by the Old Theatre and in the Planty park (by the defensive walls). A completely new fountain was also built in the Market Square (what is happening there can be observed on an ongoing basis thanks to our camera; it is especially interesting there in spring and summer).
