This was the second edition of the charity table tennis tournament. PLN 175 was collected during this year's competition and will be donated to the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity. The event was organized by II Liceum Ogólnokształcącego principal Mirosław Sakowski and the president of the Senior Table Tennis Players' Club, Sławomir Respondek. “Our club has existed for over 30 years, and we have been training at II LO for ten years,” says Respondek. “Our group includes teachers of various specialties, a lawyer, an architect and a certified colonel. What is more, until recently a priest also played with us.”
“The attraction of the tournament will be a match between the oldest and the youngest player,” Sakowski told us before the tournament. “The winner will receive a paddle signed by Jurek Owsiak, the head of WOŚP.”
In the aforementioned match, Sławomir Respondek, aged 84, faced Adam Goleński, aged 11. The former won. The prizes for the players were funded by II LO.
