Waldemar Malicki, an outstanding soloist, chamber musician and improviser, will perform before the Bolesławiec audience on Thursday, January 9, at 7:00 p.m. He is a three-time Fryderyk winner for albums featuring works by Wieniawski, Bach and Paderewski, as well as the author of the best album of 1999, featuring works by Karol Szymanowski, selected by the monthly magazine “Studio”.

The artist conducts music courses and seminars in Scandinavia, the Americas and Japan. He presented his original program, full of virtuosity and musical humor, during gala evenings organized for cultural and social institutions as part of the EXPO world exhibitions in Hanover and Osaka. He also performs a recital titled “Katharsis”, composed of Liszt’s late works, full of mystical and religious meaning.

Since 2000, Waldemar Malicki has been the artistic director of the “Fun and Classic” Festival of Virtuosity and Musical Humor in Nowy Sącz. Together with Jacek Kęcik, he is also the co-creator of the one-of-a-kind Philharmonic of Wit, a musical ensemble with which he has performed numerous times on TVP. He is also a winner of the television “Wiktor”, the “Telekamera” and many other Polish Television awards.

The concert is presented by Agencja SOLO and BOK-MCC. Tickets cost PLN 55 and are available at the Forum cinema box office.
