26 local television editorial teams from across Poland submitted nearly 190 entries to the “This Concerns Us” competition, organized by the Polish Chamber of Electronic Communications. The editorial teams are competing for awards in three categories: news program, interview, and short television form—reportage. The program committee selected 10 finalists in each category. Bolesławiec Local Television “Azart-Sat” was nominated in two categories: news program and interview. In November, the competition jury will select the winners from among the finalists. They will receive awards, including the main “Crystal Screen” award in each category.
The “This Concerns Us” competition is organized by the Polish Chamber of Electronic Communications, which brings together 143 companies from the electronic media sector. These include cable television operators representing more than 70% of the national market and reaching over 4.5 million subscribers, as well as manufacturers and distributors of equipment and services used by operators in their business activities. The competition is intended for more than one hundred local television stations that broadcast their programs through the networks of cable television operators—members of PIKE.
