Eight couples celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversaries. The couples celebrating their golden wedding anniversaries were: Marianna and Tadeusz Żukowie, Antonina and Stefan Kowalscy, Maria and Kazimierz Brzeziccy, Czesława and Marian Szewerdowie, Józefa and Wiesław Świerniakowie, Anna and Edward Gajdowie, Stefania and Zbigniew Skrzypcowie, Kazimiera and Roman Topolscy.
“Fifty years of uninterrupted, harmonious married life is a momentous anniversary. It is an anniversary that inspires emotion, respect and the appreciation of friends and all those who understand the important role played by the family,” said Bolesławiec Mayor Piotr Roman.
To mark the anniversary, the distinguished jubilaries were honored with certificates and medals for many years of married life. Their families and friends accompanied the couples. Congratulations and wishes for many years of health and prosperity were offered. The ceremony was enhanced by a performance by students from the State Music School in Bolesławiec.
