In response to residents’ expectations, the Mayor of Bolesławiec has authorized the establishment of the “Oxpress” Public Language Lower Secondary School. The school is free of charge and will follow the basic timetable approved by the Ministry of National Education, with an increased number of English lessons.
Additional classes will be organized for students showing greater interest in particular subjects: Russian and Spanish, swimming, chess, nature and chemistry, photography and film, arts, economics – budget planning, automotive studies, sailing, mathematics and physics.
As a language-focused school, we provide student exchanges with countries such as Germany, the Czech Republic, Lithuania and Austria. The school building is located at 48 Tysiąclecia Avenue, where a modern gymnasium meeting all requirements will also be built next year.
In the 2014/2015 school year, we plan to open one first-year class consisting of a maximum of 20 students. Recruitment to the lower secondary school will take place in three stages:
- stage I – submission of documents (lower secondary school admission questionnaire, fifth-grade certificate)
- stage II – a meeting and interview between the principal, the parents and the student candidate
- stage III – announcement of the list of admitted students
