The agreement between Bolesławiec County and the Association of Parents of Children and Young People with Special Needs (the organization that initiated the establishment of the Bolesławiec Occupational Therapy Workshop) was signed on November 26 in the conference room of the County Office. The agreement was signed by: starosta Cezary Przybylski, deputy starosta Stanisław Chwojnicki, WTZ manager Justyna Ziółkowska and Association president Arkadiusz Żądło.
“The County obtained more than PLN 73,000 from the State Fund for the Rehabilitation of People with Disabilities to purchase a van adapted for transporting people with disabilities,” said Cezary Przybylski. The remaining amount, more than PLN 48,000, is to be contributed by the Association of Parents of Children and Young People with Special Needs.
“This is an extremely important and high-priority matter for us,” emphasized Justyna Ziółkowska. “We purchased the vehicle currently at our disposal in 2004. It is already worn out and has traveled more than half a million kilometers. And if we are unable to provide transportation for young people with disabilities, this could lead to their social isolation.”
Moreover, the County also obtained funds—more than PLN 70,000—to purchase a van adapted for transporting people with disabilities for the Residential Care Home. The agreement with the Bolesławiec Municipal Commune was signed on November 27.
