On Monday, November 25, information appeared on Facebook that a young man from Bolesławiec had gone missing two days earlier and had most recently been seen in the vicinity of Parkowa and Karola Miarki Streets. On November 26, a post appeared on our forum Niki: “Is it true that the missing Paweł Sz. is dead? Does anyone have more detailed information about this?” A forum user, kdkd, replied: “Yes, he is dead. Signs of strangulation were found on him, but it is not known whether he did it himself or whether third parties were involved.”
“We performed an autopsy,” district prosecutor Regina Haniszewska told us. “At this point, there is no indication that the man was murdered.”
Investigative proceedings are ongoing. Investigators will question further witnesses, and additional examinations will also be carried out.
