The premiere of the children’s book “Insect Friends and the Mystery of Fairy Root” took place on October 24 at the Clinic of Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplantation, Oncology and Hematology in Wrocław. The author is teenage Celina Foryś, a student at Municipal Gymnasium No. 4 in Bolesławiec, who has a malignant bone tumor.
The ceremonial premiere of “Insect Friends and the Mystery of Fairy Root” was filled with emotion and moving moments. The clinic’s patients, their parents and teachers, as well as… Jarosław Boberek, an outstanding theater, film and dubbing actor, took part in it. He is known for providing the voice of, among others, King Julien in “Madagascar” and the “Madagascar” film series. He read an excerpt from Celina’s fairy tale, bringing the characters of this fantastic story to life with his voice.
Celina had an extraordinary idea for publishing a children’s book about the spirited adventures of insect friends, which she created during oncological treatment. Fundacja Rosa helped her make this dream a reality.
Working on the fairy tale gave the author strength and faith that everything would be all right... Celina has already returned to school and is sharing her fascinating work, created in cooperation with teacher Katarzyna Gondek-Wieczorek, with the students of MZS No. 1.
We will return to this topic.
